Megan Doodles: Kawaii Animals

I love doodling cute things! I especially love to draw animals. So I’m going to combine these and show you how to draw several kawaii animals with one simple shape. All you need is a pen and some paper. Let’s get started.

In a few simple steps, I’m going to show you how to draw 5 animals: a mouse, a bunny, a cat, a dog and a pig!

First, you are going to start with a rounded triangle. It looks like a chubby piece of candy corn to me.

MOUSE:

For the mouse, you make two circles (one inside the other) for each of the ears.

Then add the eyes and a little scalloped line for the mouth.

Next you can add the legs. Two little half ovals in the middle and two long ovals at the bottom of the body.

Then you add a long skinny tail. And to finish, draw a triangle between the middle paws, to give your mouse some cheese!

Then add the eyes and a little “T” shape for the nose and some whiskers.

Next you can add the legs. Two little half ovals in the middle and two circles at the bottom of the body. Then you add a long curved tail. And to finish, draw a circle between the middle paws, to give your cat some yarn!

DOG:

For the dog, you make two rounded squares for each of the ears. Then add a triangle inside the top of each ear to give your dog floppy ears.

Then add the eyes and little square for the nose with a scalloped line for the mouth. At the bottom of the mouth add a half circle for the tongue.

Next, you can add the legs. Two little half ovals in the middle and two circles inside the bottom of the body. Then you add a long fluffy tail. To finish, draw two parallel lines connected with two curved lines at the ends, between the middle paws, to give your dog a bone!

PIG:

For the pig, you make two triangles for each of the ears.

Then add the eyes and an oval with two side by side lines for the snout.

Next you can add the legs. Two little sideways “M” shapes in the middle and two upright “M” shapes at the bottom of the body. Then you add a curlycue tail. And to finish, draw a triangle topped with a half circle between the middle paws, to give your pig an ice cream cone!

What else can you make with this shape? Happy doodling!
