In 1959, several Mid-Missouri library districts came together to form the Daniel Boone Regional Library system. Today DBRL serves 223,303* people throughout Boone and Callaway Counties, and we want to include you in celebrations of our 60-year milestone. As part of our celebrations, we’re featuring displays at two of our libraries.
On display throughout October:
At the Columbia Public Library
In the hallway between the Friends Room and the Studio
Over the years, the library has kept pace with changing technology. This display of photos from our archive shows the evolution of library technology and other features of our history.
At the Callaway County Public Library
View the history of this original Carnegie library, built in 1912. Join us for a reception Wednesday, October 16, from 2-4 p.m.
You can also find many more photos of our libraries, services and patrons in the Community History Archive.
