The Columbia Public Library‘s annual quilt exhibit will take place April 7-29, 2018. This year’s theme is The Social World of Quilting. Submissions are now closed for this year’s quilt exhibit.
Quilts in the exhibit will feature tops constructed by more than one person. Methods may include friendship/autograph quilts; row-by-row quilts; one or more people piecing and another stitching the top; or one or more appliqué or embroidery artist and another person constructing the top. You do NOT need to be one of the quilt-makers to submit a quilt. Quilts you have inherited, purchased or been given may be submitted.
Quilts with tops created by one person and quilted by another will not be considered for this exhibit. Be sure your quilt has a 3-inch sleeve attached for hanging.
Mindy Smith, local artist and curator of the show, will select the quilts to be displayed. Contact Mindy at bymindysmith@gmail.com with questions.
